Christmas is few days away and some of you probably still haven't finished shopping or some of you might have not even started. Netbooks have recently become a big hit and would make for a nice Christmas present for a loved one or for oneself. However, I would like to warn you before purchasing one. If you do not have a functioning desktop or laptop do not purchase a netbook in order to replace that one. Netbooks have little memory and can't process many applications at the same time. Also they are not very good with playing videos like from Youtube.com etc. Furthermore, they do not have a DVD/CD hardrive. So you won't be able to play any movies on dvd or games on CD. Also if you get one with windows 7 starters you wont be able to change the background, it will keep it with the standard window 7 background. Other than that netbooks are pretty fun, easy to carry and have a long battery life. If you are always on the go and want a computer to perform simple tasks like surfing the web or writing up a document ( nothing too complicated) than this is the right computer for you. However, it would be a bad idea to get a netbook in order to substitute a notebook or a desktop (for the reasons that i have stated above). Alright, with that note in mind i wish you happy shopping days :)

Actress Brittney Murphy ( best known for her role in the movie Clueless) died at the age of 32. So far the reason for her death it has been said to be due to medication overdose. The actress has always denied to have used illegal drugs and alcohol was not involved in her death. Her husband didn't want an autopsy to be performed but then eventually agreed to it. More on her death is yet to be revealed. She joins other stars like Micheal Jackson, Keith Ledger, Anna Nicole Smith in their tragic deaths over medical drug over dose. However, I hope that her death and that of other celebrities serves as a lesson to the rest of us and makes us more aware of the danger of medication overdose.

The 26 year old NFL star( with Cincinnati Bengals) died this morning. After a dispute with his fiancee, he got on the back of the pickup(that she was driving) truck as she was leaving him to go to her parents house. She has not been charged as of yet but police are still investigating. I know that some websites talk about is hot temper on the football field and his troubles with the law, but i don't think that is appropriate. R.I.P. Chris Henry.

Being on the subject of Barbies ( and no this blog is not just about Barbies trust me), look what i found:


I looked at this and i was speechless. I mean I am glad they are trying to represent different cultures and i applaud them for that, but whats up with the lime and bright red Burka colors? When i first saw this i was left with my jaw open thinking " WHAT THE..." I understand that they are trying to represent the color of the emirates and that would've been fine if it was solid dark green not lime or solid red not bright! They look ridiculous but amusing nonetheless. I have to say though, I am really liking the Barbie in the middle. Keep em coming Barbie!

So as i was looking for pictures of Barbie i came across this aging Barbie( finally a realistic looking Barbie!) and had a good laugh, so wanted to share it with you:


My last post was a bit morbid but I hope it got the message through. However, with this post I’ll try to lighten things up with every little girls best friend: Barbie. I know that some of you might have never played with a Barbie because you didn’t like them or were a tomboy or whatever other reason might have been. But I am sure you would still appreciate these fun facts about this doll that captured the hearts of little girls ( or big ones) everywhere around the world. So lets start:
1. About 1 billion fashions have been produced since 1959 for Barbie and her friends!
2. Barbie doll's signature color is Barbie pink.
3. Barbie doll was introduced in 1959 and first appeared in the now-famous black and white striped swimsuit and signature ponytail.
4. Barbie doll has had over 43 pets including 21 dogs, 12 horses, 3 ponies, 6 cats, a parrot, a chimpanzee, a panda, a lion cub, a giraffe and a zebra. Wow, and I thought I had a lot of animals…
5. Barbie first career was a teenage fashion model. She sure has come a long way since then, from president to astronaut to doctor :)

This is a devastating fact but it is necessary that we are aware of it.
Each day almost 10,000 children under the age of 5 in Third World countries die as a result of illnesses contracted by use of impure water.

A new survey was made and the results… well they are surprising. 1 in 3 people between the ages of 18 to 35 have tattoos!!! I do not have one myself, but I have nothing against those who have. I mean the thought to get one has crossed my mind but in the end I decided not to. Not because i am afraid of needles but because my future employer won't appreciate it and would probably make me cover it up. Not only that, but I also don't want to be judged based on my tattoos by my clients or others. Either way this statistic is interesting and it shows how the views on tattoos have changed. Even though, they remain unaccepted in most work places; socially they have become more "ok"
